BidTracker ("the Extension") is an independent browser extension designed to help users track Catawiki auctions, calculate potential bid costs, set personal bid limits, and receive auction alerts. BidTracker is not affiliated with or endorsed by Catawiki.
The core extension does not require an account. Tracked lots, personal bid limits, alert status, and related preferences are stored locally in the user's browser using Chrome storage.
If the user chooses to connect Telegram, BidTracker uses its backend only to provide the requested notification service. The backend may process:
BidTracker does not request or store the user's Telegram password or phone number. The Telegram bot token is kept server-side and is not included in the extension.
Information processed by the backend is used only to authenticate the extension installation, connect the optional Telegram notification channel, maintain tracked auction alerts, and deliver the alerts requested by the user.
BidTracker does not sell user data. Data is not transferred to third parties for advertising or unrelated purposes. Telegram receives the information necessary to deliver messages to the chat selected by the user. Catawiki is opened by the user when a lot link is selected; BidTracker does not represent itself as Catawiki.
Some links that open Catawiki lots may contain affiliate tracking parameters provided through Partnerize. This may allow BidTracker to receive an affiliate commission if a qualifying action occurs. Affiliate tracking does not require BidTracker to collect payment card details or banking information from users.
The Extension uses Chrome permissions such as storage, alarms, notifications and access to Catawiki pages because they are necessary for its auction-tracking and alert features. The Extension does not execute remotely downloaded JavaScript code.
Users can remove tracked lots and disconnect Telegram from BidTracker. When Telegram is disconnected, the associated chat connection is disabled. Backend alert records are maintained only as needed to provide the tracking service and may be deleted when no longer required.
BidTracker uses HTTPS for communications with its backend. Device tokens are stored server-side in hashed form. No security measure can guarantee absolute security, but reasonable technical measures are used to protect information handled by the service.
BidTracker is intended for users worldwide. Depending on the user's jurisdiction, applicable privacy laws may provide rights such as access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection. Requests can be made using the contact address below.
